KEYES, Richard Harrison “Ritchie” – 85, Lantz, passed away peacefully June 1, 2015 at home. Born in Lantz, he was a son of the late Harris and Reta (Isenor) Keyes. He was employed at Shaw Pipe Plant for 18 years. He briefly worked as a carpenter in Halifax. He then retired after 24 years driving a school bus. He enjoyed fishing with the guys and his road trips to Cape Breton. He enjoyed the family pets. Ritchie was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed by his wife Doreen, daughter, Sherry (Andy) Isenor, Dutch Settlement; grandchildren, Jason Isenor, Dutch Settlement; and Tara Isenor (Gino Martin), Hammonds Plains; brother, Fred (Hazel) Keyes, Lantz; sister, Jean Ashley, Lantz. He was predeceased by sister, Helen Stevens, brothers, Lexie Keyes, Ron Keyes. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ettinger Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 11am, Thursday at St. George’s Cemetery, Dutch Settlement, Rev. Canon David Fletcher officiating. Reception to follow in the church basement. Family flowers only, donations in Ritchie’s memory may be made to the St. George’s Church Fund.
