PETERSON, Laura Olive, age 83 of Stewiacke, passed away on March 21, 2015 at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.
Born in Dean, she was a devoted daughter of the late Dan and Jean (Ross) Brown. She was a amazingly loving, supportive mother and grandmother. She will always be remembered for her love of flowers and plants and of course her family especially all of her grandchildren.
She is survived by sons, Darrell (Candi), Vancouver,BC, and Dennis (Mary), Port Mouton, daughter, Carla (Bill) MacLaughlin, Tatamagouche, grandchildren, Kim, Danny, Trent, Ryan (Leah), Lynne, Michael (Tanya), Tracey and Samantha, eight great grandchildren; brothers Stewart (Umpi), Arizona, Will(Eileen), Massachussetts and Donnie (Norma), Florida, sisters Nellie Cox, Dean, Jack (Guy) Stultz, Oklahoma and Carol (George) Morse, New Hampshire; her best friend, Lois Creelman, Stewiacke, son in-law Jim MacLaughlin, Halifax, former daughter in-law Mary Jane Peterson, Shubenacadie, numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Donald, infant daughter, Dianna Lynn, son, Donald Roderick Cameron, common-law partner, Arthur Ellis; brothers, Lou, Wayne, Danny, Jim and Les; sisters, Ina, Evelyn and Phyllis. At her request cremation has taken place.
A funeral service will be held 2pm Wednesday March 25, at Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie, Rev. David LeBlanc officiating. A reception will follow the service in the funeral home reception area. Spring interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Upper Stewiacke.
