GILBY, Patrick Warren "Harry O", age 60, Enfield, passed away suddenly February 9, 2015. Born in Halifax, he was the eldest son of Patricia (O'Neill) Gilby, Enfield and the late Warren Gilby. Patrick was a dedicated employee with Department of Transportation, Milford for 32 years retiring in 2004. He then continued to work part time with Little Loads. Patrick was an avid reader. Historical and war related books were his first choice. He loved fly fishing and hunting, especially when sharing those times with his best friend and cousin Paul Logan. He will always be remembered and loved by all for his quick wit, dry sense of humor, one liners and his version of "Dirty Boogie". Patrick is survived by his daughter Allison Gilby (Bryce Rogers), Enfield; son Jonathan Gilby (Erica Ross) Calgary; Grampy cherished his time with his grandchildren Kolby, Julia and Maddy Rogers. Also survived by his partner Cora Forbes, Enfield; siblings Sandra (Larry) Colbert, Sheila (Jamie) Wentworth, Kenton (Darlene) Gilby, Joel Gilby all of Enfield and Carla Isenor (Tom Richard), Lantz; fifteen nieces and nephews and four great nieces. Visitation 6-8pm Thursday in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie. Funeral service 11am, Saturday, February 14, in St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church, Enfield, Father Michael Walsh officiating. Reception following the service at the Enfield Fire Hall. Interment at a later date in St. Bernard's Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or E. H. Horne Bursary Fund, 248 Highway 2, Enfield, NS, B2T 1C9.
