COFFIN, William "Bill" - 88, Milford, passed away peacefully at Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro on December 21, 2014. Born in Kingsborough, PEI, he was the son of the late Percy and Louise Coffin. Bill was a veteran of WWII. He worked at the National Gypsum mine in Milford for 35 years and kept up to date on all the mines news and events. He loved reminiscing about old friends and colleagues he worked with for decades. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 65 years Mary (Cooke), his children June (John) Bayer, Middleton; Roger (Anita) Coffin, PEI, Don (Sheila) Coffin, Stewiacke; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sisters Birdie, Eileen, Margaret, all of PEI; Clara, Niagara Falls; brothers Stanley, Preston, Sheldon, Weston, all of PEI; many special nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Winslow, Stewart, Kenny, Lee and sister Elsie. Visitation 6-9 pm, Friday with funeral service 11am, Saturday, December 27, both in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, Lori Crocker DM officiating. Interment in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Doctor Cooke and the staff at Purdy's Lane for the care and compassion they showed Dad. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Milford United Church.
