Obituary of Tammy Corbett

Please share a memory of Tammy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great sorrow, yet a sense of peace, that we announce the passing of Tammy Marie Jeans Corbett, Halifax, formerly of Elmsdale. Surrounded by her loving family and best friend, Tammy peacefully went home to be with God on September 23 following a hard fought and courageous battle with breast cancer. Born in Halifax on August 27, 1976, she was a daughter of Debbie MacDonald and the late Donald Jeans. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving husband, Bradley Corbett, and adored sons, Elijah (10) and Ethan (7); sister, Tracy Moser (Daniel); grandparents, Grant and Audrey MacDonald, Jean Jeans; nephews, Morgan and Mackenzie Cutler and niece, Ali Moser; aunt, Connie Parker (Gerald); uncle, Greg MacDonald (Diane); and cousins, Nicole, Ryan, Josiah, Jesse (Megan) and their son Caleb,; mother and father-in-law, Barb and Wayne Corbett; sisters-in-law, Terri Corbett (Peter), Lesley Eden Wetmore (Mark), Lisa Burden (Mike); best friend, Krista Price Walsh, several aunts and uncles as well as many extended family members. Tammy was a graduate of Hants East Rural High and St. Mary's University. She made many dear friends throughout her schooling, her years working at Sobeys, the ties made at her boys' school and her church community. Although traveling a difficult road, Tammy continued to stay positive, gladly embracing life, and grateful for all it brought. Her faith was strong and inspirational as she modeled confidence in her trust in God. The outpouring of love and generosity for Tammy and her family is profound. Thank you to the many doctors, nurses, chaplains, councilors and VON who provided skilled treatment, care and heartfelt compassion, as well as the many friends and family who held her up with their great love, support and prayers. Visitation will be 1-3 & 7-9 pm, today Friday September 26 and a service celebrating the life of our precious Tammy, 2 pm, September 27, both in Grace Chapel: 255 Ross St, cornering Farnham Gate, in Clayton Park, Halifax, Rev. Mark Harris officiating. Family flowers only, memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice or to the family (by cheque or money order to Bradley Corbett) by mail: c/o Ettinger Funeral Home, Box 39 Shubenacadie, NS B0N2H0.
