DIXON, W. James "Jamie", 84- Latties Brook, passed away May 18, 2014 at home. Born in Latties Brook, he was a son of the late John and Mildred (Singer) Dixon. Jamie worked in the woods for the majority of his life. He loved to hunt, fish and garden. He is survived by sons, Leroy (Carol), N.W.T., Earl, Alberta, John Henry, Alberta; daughters, Marie Corkum, BC, Carol (James) Bushie, Green Oaks, Jean Reid, BC, Judy (Morgan) Fitch, Alberta; daughter in law, Kathy; 22 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; brother, Robert Dixon, Ontario; sisters, Lillian(Carl) Dickson, Upper Kennetcook, Norah Spicer, Ontario. He was predeceased by his wife Edith;son, Wade; brother, Ralph Dixon; sisters, Gladys Dickson, Jane-Ann Anthony and Elizabeth Komar. Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held 7-9pm Wednesday in the Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie, from where a funeral service will be held 2pm Thursday May 22, 2014. The burial will take place in the South Maitland United Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Colchester East Hants Palliative Care or the Hospice Society.
