Obituary of Jim Bonner
BONNER, James Daniel “Jim” – age 74 of Enfield, passed away peacefully with family by his side on December 31, 2024, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Toronto, he was a son of the late Joseph and Elsie (Rothman) Bonner.
Jim loved his job with Dover Flour/P&H Milling; he got to travel extensively for his work. He also got to travel with his wife and through their travels they met many friends along the way that still keep in touch to this day. Jim and his wife felt very fortunate to live in their small, tight-knit community in Enfield Estates where everybody knows your name.
Jim is survived by his wife, Donna; children, Laura, Christine (Neil), Mark (Leslie); grandchildren, William (Jacqueline), Daniel, Derek, Draik (Shaundra), Olivia, Eleanor; great grandchildren, Freya and Ronin.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Joanne.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Homes, Shubenacadie and Elmsdale. A celebration of life will be held in the summer, details to follow.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff, doctors and nurses of the ER and ICU in Colchester East Hants Health Centre for providing such amazing care to Jim and his family.
The family appreciates all the love and support shown from everyone with a special mention of Dawn and Brian, Michael, Mandy and Doug.
