Obituary of Kaylee May Scothorn

SCOTHORN, Kaylee May - Age 22, of Lantz, formerly of Hardwoodlands, passed away on December 1st, 2024.

Kaylee was the beloved daughter of Kenny Scothorn and Michelle Doherty. She graduated from Hants East Rural High School in 2021 and pursued her passion for helping others by earning a diploma in Medical Administration. She was recently accepted to college to become a Dental Assistant.

Kaylee was a joyful and adventurous person who loved life. She was always happy, whether she was making charcuterie boards, cooking, baking, playing with her fur babies, Toby and Spencer, or traveling to sunny places. She found joy in the simple things, like side by siding with family and friends, trying new hobbies, and going on adventures. Kaylee and the love of her life Kurklyn dreamed of building a future together, filled with love, laughter, and endless possibilities.

Kaylee had a very close bond with her family. She loved her mom, Michelle; dad, Kenny; her sisters, Lydia (Jordan), Madison, Sam (Tyler), Ella; and brother, Jesse (Rene); grandmothers, Gail Scothorn and Susan Stuart. They shared a special connection, filled with love, laughter, and fierce loyalty.

Kaylee is predeceased by grandfathers, John Scothorn, David Stuart; “Little Nanny”, Gloria Woodall; uncle, Gregory.

Kaylee was a kind and caring person who brought joy to everyone she met. She will be remembered fondly by everyone she knew.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. A Celebration of Kaylee’s life will start at 12pm Saturday, December 7th in the Milford REC Hall, Milford.
