Obituary of Lillian Grace Fenton

FENTON, Lillian Grace - age 92 of The Windsor Elms Village, Falmouth, formerly of Upper Rawdon, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Elms on November 23,2024. Born in Upper Kennetcook,she was a daughter of the late James and Pearl (Davis) Curran.

Mom was a very active member of the community. She spent many hours volunteering with the Upper Rawdon United Church, UCW as well as the Rawdon District Fire Department and the Upper Rawdon Community Hall. Mom enjoyed spending time and going places with her wide circle of friends. Her family meant the world to her. She always looked forward to spending time with everyone. She had a very special place in her heart for all of her grandchildren - they were her pride and joy. She had a great sense of humor and a wit that kept us all on our toes.

Mom is survived by her children, Valerie Weatherhead, Rawdon Gold Mines; Kevin (Lynda) Fenton, East Amherst; James (Verna) Fenton, Upper Kennetcook; Mitchell(Rhonda) Fenton, Bridgewater and Karen (Scott) Newman, Smithville,ON; grandchildren, Corey Weatherhead, Lana Wilson, Kate Fenton (Chris DesBarres), Mike (Cass) Fenton, Nicole Fenton, Terri (Justin) Robicheau, Brittany Fenton, Nick Fenton, Allison (Ryan) Fenton, Evan (Sarah) Newman, Jenna (Dan) Armstrong, Laura (Emma) Newman, and Jeff Newman; great-grandchildren, Casey, Sam and Felix Robicheau, Ryker Whynot, Olive and Gage Newman and Chloe and Violet Armstrong; brother, Fred Curran, Grand Prairie, AB; sister, June Ray, Cambridge, ON; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ken Fenton; son-in-law, Norm Weatherhead; grandson, Todd Weatherhead; brother-in-law, Earle Ray.

We would like to thank the staff of the VON, Gables Nursing Home in Amherst and The Windsor Elms Village for caring for Mom over the years. Special thanks to the staff of Fundyview 4 for all the love and care you showed Mom over the last 7 years.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ettinger Funeral Homes, Shubenacadie and Elmsdale.

A graveside service will take place at a later date.
