Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
FRAIL, Robert Condon “Bob”, age 74, of Upper Rawdon, passed away October 20, 2024 in the Cobequid Community Health Centre, Lower Sackville. Born in Caledonia, he was a son of the late Robert and Laura (Crouse)Frail.
Bob was a man who loved life and everyone he met on the way. He was a story teller and could talk for hours and you always knew his humour would shine through in the story. He had a wonderful laugh.
Dad loved nature and everything in it. He loved to take his family trout fishing and his greatest trip was taking his grandchildren to Newfoundland on a 2 week fishing trip. He cherished those days and would just sit back and observe the people he loved doing what he loved. He wanted to share all his passion and experiences with his family.
In his earlier years he loved playing baseball. He helped with the building of the Rawdon ball field where he worked countless hours to build and host tournaments all summer long. He also coached the Rawdon Blazers female team and enjoyed their success. Dad was also a dart player. He played in many leagues over the years and met so many wonderful people in those years. He loved sports and was a die hard Toronto fan - BlueJays, Leafs and Raptors. He was the best coach sitting on the edge of his recliner watching the games on TV.
Bob was an animal lover. His favourite past time was taking his wife and 3 dogs in the SUV for a Tim’s coffee or in the side by side for a ride around his property.
Bob loved his family and cherished his 3 grandchildren whom he always made sure had the things they wanted growing up.
Bob worked a long career in the forestry industry alongside his brother Lawson. He was never afraid of hard work and always provided for his family.
Left to mourn his passing is his wife of 54 years Linda, son Terry (Julie) Frail, daughter Sandy (Rob) Breau, grandchildren Cameron, John and Logan. He is survived by brothers, Lawson and Mitchell, sisters Paulette (Brian) Ulhman and Debbie (Peter) Oickle; numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Roland and Art; sisters, Bev Crockett, Sally Mansfield and Linda Masine
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ettinger’s Funeral Homes, Elmsdale and Shubenacadie. No service will be held as per his wishes. Memorial donations may be directed to the Canadian Cancer Society.
