Obituary of Sheila Rose Kelly

KELLY, Sheila Rose, age 76 of Hilden, formerly of Urbania, passed away peacefully at home on October 13, with her family by her side. Born April 1, 1948 in Oyster Pond, she was the daughter of the late Fay and Thurma (Jennings) Hartling. 

 

Sheila loved playing bingo with her friends, gardening, baking, day trip drives and having party get-togethers with family and friends.  She worked for several years at the Village Bakery in Shubenacadie and was known as “the Pie Lady”

 

Sheila is survived by her loving husband Charles David Kelly, son Charles "Sonny" Leonard William Kelly; daughter-in-law "Her Rock" Shannon Lee (Roode) Kelly, her pride and joy grandsons, Charles "Mikie" Micheal Lewis Kelly and Bryson "Little Man" Emerson James Kelly and her cat Lucy, sisters Ella Stevens, Tina(Maynard) Debaie, Shirley (Earl) Day, Faye(Darrell) Beaver, brothers Kevin (Doreen) Hartlen, James (Wendy) Hartlin, Gary (Donna) Hartling and many nieces and nephews.

 

She was predeceased by brothers Emerson Hartling and Leonard Hartlin, sisters Mildred Lyons and Verna Kelly.

 

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. No visitation will occur, a graveside service for family and close friends will be at a later date.

 

The family would like to thank the Colchester East Hants Palliative Care Team and the VON for all of the care they gave to Sheila.
