Obituary of Brina Elizabeth Keith
KEITH, Brina Elizabeth – age 72, of Coldstream, passed away on July 26th, 2024, at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Toronto, she was a daughter of the late William and Esther (Fuller) Keith.
Brina was compassionate, generous and gregarious; she was a dreamer, and an adventurer. In her youth, she cruised around the southern U.S. on a Harley Davidson, and loved surfing and sailing. Brina's heart was always at home on the water, whether sailing, strolling the beach, or just sitting peacefully on a dock, reminiscing. She also got a great kick out of watching and participating in bathtub racing in Western Canada. As a Red Seal Journeyperson Carpenter, Brina worked in the building trades; her career of almost 40 years spanned Canada from coast to coast, after which she retired in rural Nova Scotia and pursued hobbies including boating, electronics and computer programming. She loved to tinker, often wielding a soldering iron, proudly demonstrating her latest electronic creation or 3D-printed gizmo. Brina had a passion for science and science fiction; she was fascinated by the prospects of space travel, and uncovering the secrets of our universe. May she now be at peace, free to sail the cosmic oceans to her heart’s content.
Brina is survived by two estranged daughters, Gwen and Terra; and by her partner of 20 years, Sasha, who loves her and will miss her dearly.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her older brother, Terry.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Homes, Shubenacadie and Elmsdale.
