Pat Shannon Obituary

SHANNON, Nolan Patrick “Pat”, age 90, of Middle Musquodoboit, passed away peacefully on July 16. 2024 in the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagouche, NS. Born July 25, 1933, in Prince Rupert, British Columbia, he was a son of the late Buckley Patrick Shannon and Vera Beatrice (McCall) Shannon.


Pat is survived by his daughter, Kathlyn Ann (Raymond) Munroe, Dartmouth; sons, Michael Francis(Victoria) Shannon, Oakfield; and Kelly Patrick Shannon, Bedford; grandchildren, Samantha Parker, Porter’s Lake; Sean Parker, Lower Sackville; John Shannon and Tracey Shannon, both of Oakfield; Sarah Shannon and Taylor Shannon, both of Bedford; Natasha Kellough, Ontario; great grandchildren, Patrick, Tabatha, Alexandra, Dylan and Elizabeth “Izzy”; great great granddaughter, Harper; brother, Kevin Shannon, BC; sister, Bea Robertson, BC; numerous nieces and nephews.


He was predeceased by his wives, Lorraine Regina (Fahie) and Shirley Marie (Kellough), a sister, Bonnie Nicholls.


Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ettinger Funeral Homes. A funeral service will be held at 11am Wednesday, July 31, 2024, in the Shubenacadie location of Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Rev. Natalie Buchanan-Rutherford officiating.


Reception to follow in the funeral home hospitality area. Interment will be in Gays River Cemetery, Gays River.


Family flowers only, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
