BEATTIE, Helen Milena-80, Maitland, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 20, 2014 in Elk Court, Brookfield. Born in Hamilton, Ontario, she was a daughter of the late Victor and Gladys (Langley) Norman. She was an employee at Lawrence House and Cox Brothers. She enjoyed knitting and doing crafts. She was a member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Maitland. She is survived by husband Charles Daniel Beattie, Truro; daughters Vicki Cartwright (Tom Davis), Barrie, ON; Gayle (Val) Height, Scarborough, ON, Donald (Christine)Withrow, Georgefield; grandchildren, Lester, Charmaine, Tyler, Stephanie, Jordan, Brad, Stewart, and Jennifer; great grandchildren, Chelsea, Sidney and Easton; sisters, Audrey, Silvie and Vicki; and a niece Ariel Langley, whom she thought a lot of; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Donald Ross Withrow, a daughter Donna Brightman, a brother Jack, sister Norma McLaughlin. Visitation will be 4-8pm Monday in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2 Shubenacadie, from where a funeral service will be held 2pm Tuesday March 25, 2014, Rev. Lori Ramsey officiating.
