MACDONELL, John William - age 40, of Truro, passed away tragically in the early hours of June 28th, 2024, in Truro. Born in Halifax, he was a son to Wanda Kelly and the late John MacDonell.

John faced many challenges in his life but had a kind heart and a strong work ethic. He was skilled at most anything he tried but was particularly skilled at home construction and renovation. He took great pride in his work.

He will be missed greatly by his mother, Wanda; brother, Tyler; sister, Erin; nieces, Brooklyn and Ainsley and nephew, John. He also leaves his grandmother, Marlene MacDonell; grandfather, Gerald Kelly; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father, John and grandfather, Allie MacDonell.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Homes, Shubenacadie and Elmsdale. Visitation will be held from 3pm-5pm on Saturday, July 13th, 2024, at Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie.
