Obituary of Daniel Earl Axworthy

AXWORTHY, Daniel Earl, age 78, a beloved resident of Elmsdale passed away peacefully on May 2,2024, at home. Born in Sydney, Cape Breton, he was a son of the late John and Viola (Martell) Axworthy.

Danny was known for his love of old country music, often humming tunes by Merle Haggards and George Jones.

He is survived by his son, Michael and daughter, Danielle Lowe; grandsons, Peter and Joshua.

Danny’s memory will be forever cherished by his siblings, Bill (Holly), Joe (Florence), Charlie, Peter (Fiona), Ella (Stew Fitzgerald), Rick (Robyn) and Alvin (Shelly); many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Donna and sister, Jeanette.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie.  A private gathering will be held at a later date.
