She was an amazing lady with a force of energy that made everything around her better. She took on community projects, was a wonderful French instructor through the local school board, and helped the East Hants Family Resource Centre in so many large and small ways reach out to connect with local families. I will miss her laugh and her common sense advice.

So sorry to hear of Pierrette‘s passing. When we were new to the community and started attending St Bernard’s church in Enfield, she was one of the first parishioners we got to know. She was so welcoming and kind. Our deepest condolences to all her family.

I am so sorry to read of Pierrette’s passing. So many wonderful memories of her with my parents in Matheson. Years later when we lived in Deep River, they would visit them in Pembroke. Always a friendly , compassionate and thoughtful lady.
Our condolences to her family.
I sure her husband was there to greet her.
RIP.

So saddened to hear of Pierrette's passing. Met her when our Mom became her neighbor at the apartment building. Will never forget how kind and caring she was. Loved her big personality! Loved how deeply she loved and was so proud of her grandchildren, Pieter and Jenny. Conversations would always start with how are the grandchildren doing? She was very happy to update me. Pieter and Jenny you were so loved.
Sending deepest condolences to Mark, Pieter and Jenny on your loss of such a wonderful lady. May all thoughts and prayers give you comfort in the days and weeks ahead.

Sad to hear of Mrs. Blok's passing. She was a great friend, a person that I respected a lot. Pierrette was a great friend to the Black-River Matheson residents for which she cared a lot for. She was a great mayor that do this day, our township has never seen.
My condolences to the Blok and Geoffroy families.

Writing with a very broken heart of the loss of my wonderful friend so beautiful both inside and out . I sure will miss our phone chats and late evening visits when time passed so guickly that before we knew it midnight had arrived as we always seemed to have so much to talk about , family , shopping trips amongst other things you and my mom did , how much you loved my hobo bread and pickles and showing me the new knitting you had done which was so beautiful . Will miss you so much and you will always be in my heart . Condolences to the family Sherry , Ralph and family

Pierrette was my dearest cherished friend. We first met at Church where she welcomed us to the community when we moved here from AB in 2001. Soon we shared a pew with her and her grandkids which then blossomed to Sunday coffees, Christmas & Easter dinners, birthdays and 23 years of an amazing friendship. She was my 2nd mom, my friend, my confidante and Oma to my children. She was family ❤ I will miss our conversations and the wonderful time spent together but I am ever thankful for my heart filled with the treasure of wonderful memories. My sincerest condolences to Mark, Pieter, Jenny and the Blok family. She will be deeply missed.

I just want to offer my deepest condolences and I am so sad to hear of her passing. Rain and I will miss her dearly. Pierrette was like another grandmother to my daughter. Always greeting her with the most friendly and warm “ hello my friend” and spoiling her with little treats. She was a beautiful woman who talked so highly of her grandson and was so proud of the man he has become. She was such a wonderful neighbour and friend. We are thinking of you all.

Deepest condolences to the Blok family. I have know Pierrette since the early 90’s. We both enjoyed speaking French to one another I guess because we didn’t have that many people that spoke French. I introduced her to my late parents when they moved to Elmsdale, for the benefit of my step-dad as he was from Montreal. He also always spoke French with her every Sunday after church. After my step-dad passed my mother moved into the same building as Pierrette , right across from each other. We saw each other regularly, in the hall or at church. She will be missed. R.I.P. Madam Blok ❤️
