Grandma Millie, I knew this day would come but I wish we would have had more time together. While, I couldn't visit often my visits with you and Grandpa Robert were some of my best memories. In the time we did have, you taught me how to be kind, compassionate, to always help others and to be a good person. You shared your love of baking, life, your garden and your humor to everyone. Your house was always full of joy, good friends and conversation. I know you loved us all and I know you enjoyed your Great Grandaughter Madilynn so much in the short time you've known here. I will always cherish the way you talked about her and your eyes lighting up talking about her. I'm glad that you were able to live a full life at home until the end. You will be missed greatly.
Our Heartfelt condolences to my Aunt/Uncles, Sheila, Norman, Lynn, Stephen. My cousins Kaitlyn, Jessica and Matthew and Father Merl. I truly wished I could be there in person.
Love always Grant, Madilynn, and Amanda,

I am so sorry to hear of Millie's passing. She was one of a kind. A great lady. Robert & her spent time on Caribou Island, and she would say if it was slightly raining it was a " dry rain". Always upbeat she never owened a frown. Prayers to the Family.

One of our fondest memories was spending the weekend with Aunt Mary, Uncle Jim, Millie and Uncle Robert at their cottage. We visited several cousins and saw others from Three Brooks. Of course, there was lots of wonderful food and lots of laughs. We also reminisced about the times when Harold and I were there as young boys and when Mom and Dad were there on their frequent visits to Nova Scotia.
On our regular phone calls to Aunt Millie, she brought us up to speed on the new babies, weddings and local news.
During our visits to Aunt Millie there was never a lack of conversation, laughter and of course, our favourite “Bed Lunch”

I send my condolence to each one of the family .I was just sharing as story on Saturday of Millie. We loved Millie and Robert dearly. Millie opened her home and arms of love to us when we moved to Hardwoodlands.Millie was a kind and loving soul., always had a smile and was so happy to see you. The tea would be quickly put on and some of her baking served. God bless you with His Comfort and Peace . My love and prayers are with you.

As one of her many many nieces I always enjoyed going to visit nova scotia to see family with my mom Georgina Smith (millie sister), my dad and brothers. Aunt Millie always had an open house and heart. She could always squeeze one more person in her house. She always made sure you got something to eat. I loved her baking. I will always remember her laugh and smile.
