Obituary of Margaret Eileen Wallace

WALLACE, Margaret Eillen - 83, of Milford Station, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2024 at Braeside Home for Special Care, Middle Musquodoboit.

Born in Halifax, Margie was the only child of the late Al and Joan (Davison) Jakeman.  Before being stricken with MS, she dedicated her life at Sunnycroft Farm to her late husband, David Wallace, and their five daughters.  She is survived by daughters Barbara (Doug) McDonald, Ruth (Daniel) Murphy, Jennifer (Melvin) Eddy, Judith (Ian) and Beth (Roy) McNeill, 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Margie belonged to the Milford United Church and was a member of the UCW. She loved music and had a beautiful voice.  Over the years she competed in music festivals, was a soloist at many weddings, sang in church choirs and lately with the Braeside Singers.

Margie was an avid reader and enjoyed all the Braeside activities, especially the bus trips and winning at Bingo.

Special thanks to the staff and volunteers at Braeside Home for Special Care.  We are very grateful to know how well Mom was cared for and loved for the past 22 years while Braeside was her home.
