Her family announces with great sadness, that Barbara Jean Jodrey (Higgins) passed away at home, surrounded by her loved ones, on November 18, 2023 at the age of 73.

Born in Meagher’s Grant, she was a daughter to the late Clyde and Lulu (Rhind) Higgins.

For those who knew her, Barbara was a kind, caring and generous person. She cherished her family most of all and will be sadly missed by them, especially her grandchildren.  She is survived by her children, Chris (Christina), Kim (Duane) and her grandchildren, Lyprincia, Braxtyn, Justin, Breanna and Hunter.  Her siblings, Marlene, Ken (Sheila), Linda (Rod) and Boyd ( Karen) and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings Walter, Earl, Judy, Phyllis, Eugene, Keith and Cathy.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no service as per Barbara’s wishes.  A private family burial will take place in Elderbank Cemetery at a later date. 

The family would like to express their thanks to the VON and the Palliative Care Team, especially Dawn, Emily and James, for the compassion and kindness shown to Barb.
