ANNAND (TAYLOR), Roberta Estelle- 93, Middle Musquodoboit, we the family of Bobby Annand, sadly announce the passing of a dear mother, grandmother and great grandmother on February 24, 2014 in the Halifax Infirmary Site, QEII. Born in Wittenburg, she was a daughter of the late Cory and Susan Ann (MacLeod) Taylor.

Mom was a friendly, outgoing person who was well known for her creativity. She was a proud homemaker and considered this to be her most important role in life. She expressed her true artistic talent in her painting, sewing, floral gardens, pottery and music. Mom was a nature lover, she recognized its beauty and it inspired her artistic endeavours. She was especially fond of birds. She was a co-founder of the Valley Weeders Garden Club.

She will be sadly missed by her children Howard (Karen) Annand, Sharon (Victor) Sampson, Carl (Lynn) Annand, son-in-law Karl Schmidt, 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was the last of her family of 11 and was predeceased by her husband Edgar, daughter Arlene Schmidt, son Keith, sisters Luella Higgins, Muriel Reid, Elva Reid, Erma Redden, Cora Small, Eleanor "Dolly" Belmore, brothers Clarence, Percy, Clifford and Byron Taylor. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be 7-9pm, Friday in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie. A funeral service will be held 2pm Saturday, March 1, in Middleton United Church, Middle Musquodoboit, Rev. Marjory Cornelius officiating. Reception to follow. Spring interment will be in the Wittenburg Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Braeside Bus Fund.
