Obituary of Gregory Alfred Elliott
ELLIOTT, Gregory Alfred – age 55 of Noel Shore, passed away on Thursday,
October 12th, 2023. Greg was born in Truro to the late Alice Elizabeth (Hill)
Chambers and Walter Elliott.
Greg’s love of farming began at the age of 11 in MacPhee’s Corner on a local hog
farm, and continued on many dairy farms through his youth. His desire to tinker
and repair took hold in his cousin Shane’s garage. Greg attended Hants East Rural
High, and went on to complete the Heavy Duty Mechanic program at Colchester
Regional Vocational School followed by Truck and Transport Mechanic program at
Cape Breton Regional Vocational School. Greg worked for Brian MacPhee Diesel
Services in Shubenacadie and spent many winters as a member of the Snow and
Ice Control Operations team for NS Public Works.
Greg was an extremely hard worker and an easy-going soul. He was a ‘jack of all
trades’, and no job was too big or small. He was very excited to be living his
dream with his beef cows on his grandparents’ farm in Noel Shore. Greg’s other
passion was working in the woods with a chainsaw in hand and driving his trusty
log loader which he built.
Greg had a great zest for life, a huge heart and being the social person he was he
would chat to anyone that would listen.
Greg is survived by his sons, Tyson and Austin (Jessie), whom he was so proud of
and loved dearly; sister, Darlene Elliott; many aunts, uncles, cousins and special
friend, Carolyn.
A visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, October 18th, 2023, in
