Obituary of Betty Gail Parsons

PARSONS, Betty Gail  - age 74, of Enfield, passed away with family by her side in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro on August 20, 2023, after a brief illness. Born in Lantz, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Thelma (Ashley) Winton.

Betty always worked in the food service industry at the Halifax International Airport; at Cara, EPA Hanger, Jazz, Pratt & Whitney and Linton. She loved her special kitty, Grace which  she adopted from a rescue shelter and enjoyed working in her flower garden.  Betty could often be found relaxing on her deck, socializing with her friends in the park.

She is survived by daughter, Kim (Dave); sisters, Jo-Anna (Brent) Keyes, Cathy (Vernon) Carroll; grandchildren, Catlin (Tasha), Haley (Brandon); great grandchildren, Aleah, Emmett and Carter; Nieces, Kelly (Rob), Stephanie (Steve), Ashley (Dan); nephew, Greg (Sara); great nieces, Sofia, Alexis, Raena and Oliva; great nephews, Simon, Sebastian, Spencer, Elliot, Brayden and Jacob; stepdaughters, Lisa (Sean) and Alison (Shaun); heartfelt thanks to Jim Parsons for his kindness and renewed companionship shown to my Mom; special friends and neighbours, Krista, Christine, Steven and Duane, thanks for everything you have done for my Mom.

She was predeceased by son, Robert Tupper, Ottawa; parents Robert and Thelma Winton.

A funeral service will be held 2pm, Thursday August 31, 2023 in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, Rev. Dr. Jane Magrath officiating. A private family interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery, Lantz.
