Obituary of Henry MacInnis Moore
MOORE, Henry MacInnis - age 85 of Cooks Brook, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on August 15, 2023 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Antrim, he was a son of the late Henry and Mary (Dillman) Moore.
Henry was a renowned Oldtime fiddle player and he enjoyed playing for many dances, concerts and fiddling contests throughout the years. He also enjoyed camping and going to the senior's dances. Henry was an electrician, and was a member of the I.B.E.W., Local 625.
He will be sadly missed by his children, Christopher (Sherry), Johnson City, NY, Christian, Spryfield, Dianna (David) Ryan, Bedford, Judy (Mike), Manitouwadge, ON, Henry Jr. (Jessica), Mount Uniacke; very special foster sons, Douglas (Rachel) Leamon, Baddeck, Clyde (Debbie) Leamon, Kitimat, BC; numerous other foster-children; sisters, Margaret, Nina, Rita, Clara; brother, Edgar (Linda); special companion and sister-in-law, June Moore; grandchildren, Isaac Miller, Emma Jean Miller, Jayden Ryan, Jasmynn Ryan, Josie Moore, Kaylee Marchand; great granddaughter, Samara Cole; 6 foster grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Jean; brothers, Robert, George, Richard, Ronald; sister, Freda, in infancy; grandson, Branden Cole.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Homes, Shubenacadie and Elmsdale.
The Celebration of Life will take place at 2pm on Saturday September 30th, 2023 at Gays River United Church. Interment in Gays River Church Cemetery. A reception will follow in the church hall. Rev. Gary Burrill Officiating.

Donations in Henry's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Colchester Hospital for all of their tender care and thoughtfulness during Henry's stay.
