SACK, Shirley Ann, age 75, of Indian Brook, passed away August 1, 2023 in the Halifax Infirmary Site, QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax.  

 

Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Michael Isaac Sack and Mary Elizabeth (Syliboy) Sack.

 

Shirley was a friendly and generous person. In younger years, she liked cooking and baking for her family.  She enjoyed sitting by her window watching the birds at the feeder.  She was a die-hard Montreal Canadiens fan.

 

Shirley is survived by her children, Chris Sack (Stacey Peter-Paul), Joey (Brittany) Sack and Sandra Sack; grandchildren, Chris Jr., Brittney, Shyann, Brooke, Dallas, Storm, Hayden, Sabrina, Emily, Sadie, Rylan, Mila, Justice, Ryan, Alyssa, Alex and Anna; several great grandchildren; sister Harriett Knockwood; godchildren Henry Sack and Jenny Knockwood; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

She was predeceased a daughter, Mary Sack-Amro; grandchildren, Zachary Sack-Amro, Samia Sack-Amro, Jack Lewis and Brandon McDonald; siblings, Elizabeth Gehue, Susan Knockwood, Evelyn Ann Sack and Louis James Sack.

 

Visitation will be held at 5 Burma Road, Indian Brook, beginning at 10 am Friday, August 4.

 

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am Monday, August 7 at St. Kateri’s Church, Indian Brook, Father Phil Thibodeau presiding.
