Obituary of Robert Harry McCurdy

McCURDY, Robert “Bob” – age 85, of Middle Musquodoboit passed away on Monday, June 5^th, 2023, at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Middle Musquodoboit, he was a son of the late Harry and Ruth (Siteman) McCurdy.

Bob was proud to have lived his whole life in Middle Musquodoboit. He worked as a passenger agent for Air Canada for 37 years, before retiring in 1994. Bob loved his cars, his boat, the Lake, puttering away on projects and spending time with his grandchildren. Bob and Pat traveled near and far together over their almost 55 years of marriage.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Pat; daughter, Jennifer McCurdy-Vachon (Luc), Ottawa; sons, Christopher (Angela), Chaswood, Jeffrey (Kara), West St. Andrews; grandchildren, Amelia McCurdy, Megan McCurdy, Sophie Vachon, Catherine Vachon; sisters, Janice (Keith) Kerr, Truro, Joan (Robert) McArel, Dartmouth.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Homes, Shubenacadie and Elmsdale. Funeral Service will be held at 2pm on Monday, June 12^th, 2023, at Middleton United Church, Middle Musquodoboit. Rev. Allan Lynk officiating. Burial will take place in the Pioneer Cemetery, followed by a reception in the church basement.
