Obituary of Peter Wayne Hunt

HUNT, Peter Wayne- age 75, of Waterville, formerly of Lantz, passed away on May 30, 2023 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Bernard James and Caroline (Bennett) Hunt.  

Peter lived in Lantz for most of his life before moving to the Annapolis Valley to be closer to some of his great grandchildren. He was a long-time carpenter and woodworker. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching the Leafs games. He especially loved spending time with his family. 

Peter will be missed by his wife Nancy; children, Michael & Barry; grandchildren, Sarah, Ricky & Arisza; great grandchildren, Isabelle, Connor, Khloe & Riley; sister, Katherine; his closest nephews, Artie & David (Flynn) as well as numerous others nieces and nephews, cousins, etc.  

Besides his parents, Peter was predeceased by brothers Richard ‘Buck’, James, Kenneth, David, Walter & Fred; sisters Edith Flynn and Betty Chisholm.  

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie.  A funeral service will be held 11am Wednesday, June 7, 2023 in St. Bridget’s Church, Shubenacadie, Deacon Wilfred Boudreau officiating.
