Allan Forrest

Obituary of Allan Frederick Forrest

Forrest, Allan Fredrick –of Enfield. Our beloved father passed away on March 11, 2023 at the age of 67. Born in Kentville, he was a son of Geraldine (Brown) Forrest and the late Alexander Forrest.

All who knew Allan treasured the time they spent with him.  He welcomed anyone who came to his home with open arms and a beer.  His favorite place to be was on his computer or watching his shows in his home where he and Susan raised their family. He enjoyed golfing, watching hockey and in his younger years he loved spending time at his cottage, four wheeling, curling, playing horseshoes, coaching hockey, sailing and travelling.

He was the best and most supportive husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend a person could hope to have.

He is survived by his loving children, Shawn (Stacey), Chris, Michelle (Michael) White; his loving mother, Geraldine Forrest.  Allan adored and loved his grandchildren, Kyle, Chloe, Riley, Justyn, Ethan, Aidan, Cooper, Charlee, Austin, Cole and Cruz; great grandchildren, Leo and Jaxton.  He was proud of them all! He leaves behind his brother and sister-in-law, John and Terri Lea Flynn who were a large part of both his and Susan’s life, having shared many of life’s adventures together.  He is also survived by his siblings, David, Beverly Smith, Randy, Elaine Lott, Terry, Derek, and Lisa Forrest as well as Ronald and Bertha Harper and Barbara Deveau; his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends will miss him.

Besides his father, Allan was predeceased by his one true love, his wife, Susan Forrest; brother, Kim Forrest, grandson, Carter White.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie and Elmsdale, and he will be brought home to rest. A private family service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.

Dad always said that he would meet Susan under the Apple tree in heaven. Although he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, he is now together with the love of his life, Susan.
