Obituary of Melissa Elizabeth Maloney

MALONEY, Melissa Elizabeth – age 40 of Halifax, formerly Indian Brook, passed away on February 23^rd, 2023, in Halifax. Born in Halifax she was a daughter of her adoptive parents Deborah and the late Peter Maloney, biological parents, Christopher Labrador and the late Noreen Nicholas.

Melissa was a loving and caring person, with many friends. She enjoyed the outdoors.

Besides her parents she is survived by children, Sophia Gehue, Patrick Gehue, Daniel Drummond, Alissa Drummond; siblings, Colin Maloney, Jason Maloney, Godfrey Maloney, Jody Smith, Avery Nicholas, Cruze Nicholas; numerous nieces and nephews; god child, Larissa Paul; god parents, Amanda Paul, Freda Simon.

Melissa is predeceased by biological mother, Noreen; father, Peter; god fathers, John Julian “Baby John” and Ronald Paul.

A visitation will begin at 4pm on Saturday, February 25^th, 2023, at 109 Meadow Drive, Indian Brook, until time of funeral service at 4pm on Monday, February 27^th, 2023, at the family home. Cremation is to follow, a burial will take place at a later date.
