Obituary of Marion Louise Williams

WILLIAMS, Marion Louise- age 85 of Milford, passed away on November 4, 2022  in Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro.  Born in North Salem, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Lila (Parker) Langille.  

Marion had retired from the Royal Bank of Canada, Shubenacadie after 19 years service.  She had also worked at the Shubenacadie Medical Centre under Dr. Ross MacInnis, Dr. John T. Jones and Dr. Malcom Scott.  She had also been employed with Maritime Tel & Tel and Robert Simpson, Halifax. Marion was a member of the Milford Lantz United Church and a life member of the Milford UCW.  She had served on the Committee of Stewards, and had been Assistant Treasurer.  She also taught Sunday School in both Milford and Shubenacadie.

She is survived by her son, David Williams (Diana); daughters, Marlene Collins (Derek), and Jo-Ann MacDonald (Mark); grandchildren, Mariah, Patton, Justin, Heidi, Brandon; step grandson, Ryan; great granddaughters, Lucy and Rory, sister, Phyllis and brother-in-law, Reinder; many nieces and nephews.  

Besides her parents, Marion was predeceased by her husband, Ralph; sisters, Beatrice, Pearle, and Lois and nephew Roger.

Visitation will be held 6-8 pm on Monday, November 7, 2022, in the Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie, from where a Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.  A reception will follow in the funeral home reception area.  A private family committal will be held in Brookside Cemetery.  Family flowers only.  Memorial donations may be made to Milford Lantz United Church.
