ROSS, Mina Alberta Theresa – age 84 of Lantz, formerly of Goffs, passed away October 24, 2022 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Percy and Gladys (Hurd) Miller.

Mom could be a force to be reckoned with, with a keen wit and a sharp tongue she always had a helping hand and a story to tell. . While working at various jobs including cooking in a logging camp, delivering the rural mail and school bus driving she met many lifelong friends. She took great pleasure in travelling, be it near or far, especially going to Ontario to visit her Great Grandsons, her pride and joy.  You will be missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Joan Ross, Dartmouth; son, Robert (Sherry Dechant) Manning, AB; granddaughters, Amber Ross, Trenton, ON; Denise Ross, BC; great grandsons, Leland, Pynch and Stephen Pynch; sisters, Marjorie (Edward)Benere and Dorothy (Vern) Potter; brother, Thomas (Janie) Miller; numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. Visitation will be held 6-8pm Thursday, November 3, 2022 in St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church, Enfield, from where a funeral service will follow at 2pm Friday, November 4, 2022, Father Gerald David officiating. Reception to follow in the church hall

The family would like to thank the nurses at CEHHC for their compassionate care during her stay, Jessica Ehler for her attentiveness and friendship and a special thanks to Trinda Miller for her patience, love, care and friendship shown to our mother over the years.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society, your local food bank or a charity of choice.
