Obituary of Veronica Leah Williams
WILLIAMS, Veronica Leah – age 45 of Shubenacadie, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2022, in the Q.E.II Infirmary Site, Halifax. Born on August 20, 1977, in Halifax, she was a daughter of Scott and Laura Williams.
Veronica was a miracle baby who fought many underlying health issues throughout her life. She was a wonderful mother to Jasmine; she was proud of her achievements as a 4th year student at New Brunswick College of Craft and Design. Veronica enjoyed stock car racing, aggravating her parents, comedy, music, crafts, games, drives, yard sales, fishing and spending time with family and friends, especially her special visits with Bruce and Willa. She also enjoyed her frequent lunch dates with Claudia.
Besides her parents, Veronica is survived by her best friend and companion of 15 years, Shawn Boutilier; daughter Jasmine Williams (Devin Cleveland), Fredericton, NB; her fur baby, Chevy; sister, Claudia (Troy) Preiss, Admiral Rock; niece, Laura-Lee, and nephew, TJ, both of Admiral Rock; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, Douglas and Josephine (McCulloch) Parker; Claude and Bernice (Parker) Williams; uncles, Harlan, Carl, John; cousins, Chris and Joseph; her fur baby, Hades.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. A Celebration of Life will be held 2pm-4pm on Saturday, November 5th, 2022, in St. James Anglican Church Hall, Shubenacadie.
A heartfelt thank you to special Aunt Sheila, Rev. Carl Fraser, Dr. Adams and Joanne, the team at Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension Program, nurses, MJ, Emma, Gabrielle of the ICU unit, Haley, Courtney, Lynn of the IMCU of the Halifax Infirmary.
In lieu of flowers donations in Veronica’s memory can be made to the Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension Program at the Q.E.II Infirmary, Halifax or to Brigadoon Village Camp, Aylesford, “Giving extraordinary kids a chance to be ordinary”.
