LEONARDO, Paul Jorge, 52 - Lantz, Nova Scotia, passed away December 24, 2013 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Terceira, Açores, he was the son of José Leonardo, Markham, ON and the late Durvalina (Gaspar) Leonardo. Paul was a commercial airline pilot, having worked for Air Atlantic, Air Nova and Air Jazz. He was passionate about hockey; playing it and watching both his sons and the Leafs. He also loved baseball, biking, golfing, skiing and soccer. He will be sadly missed by his wife Karen Leonardo (Freund), sons, Anthony, Brandon and Caden Leonardo, all of Lantz; sister Dina (Carlos) Leal, Markham, ON. Visitation will be 3-5 and 7-9pm Sunday at the Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie. A funeral service will be held 2pm Monday in Faith Community Church, 29 Highway #14, Milford, Pastor Paul Vanderkooy officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Milford.
