Obituary of Walter Gordon Hunt

Walter Gordon Hunt, age 44 of Hilden, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.  Born in Truro, he was a son of Walter Sr. and Judy (Wallace) Hunt.  

Walter was mechanically inclined from a young age. He honed those skills, beginning at Jon Denney’s Autobody, working at various places as a mechanic; most recently at Fox Hollow Golf Club.  Walter was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He greatly enjoyed watching his sons play football and spending time with his daughter.

He will be deeply missed by his wife Kim, children, Cameron, Cody and Caylee; his parents, Walter and Judy; brothers Stephen (Jenn) and Bradley (Amanda); sisters, Sherry (Chris) Tilley, Holly (Jason) Rafuse and Crystal (Jason) Waye; special aunt, Edie, father in-law, David Bishop; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a wide circle of friends.  

He was predeceased by grandparents, Cecilia and David Hunt; Paulie and Alden Wallace; mother in-law, Helen Bishop.

Visitation will be held 2-4 & 6-8pm Tuesday, March 1, in Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie, from where funeral service will be held 2pm Wednesday, March 2, Pastor Connie Stewart officiating.  Current COVID-19 restrictions are in effect, mask use is mandatory during visitation and the funeral service.  The funeral will be limited to 109 attendees.
