Obituary of Kathleen Louise Latimer

LATIMER, Kathleen Louise “Kay”- Age 85 of Elmsdale passed away January 26, 2022, at home. Born in Dartmouth on August 22, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Beatrice (Hillier) Brown.

Kay spent her working years in banking and the Federal Government. She was a member of Christ Church Lantz, where she held a number of positions and was a volunteer for many years for the Canadian Cancer Society.

As a young girl, she loved sports. She loved “Chicken Soup for the Soul” books, country music and Danny O’Donnell music. She enjoyed doing crafts and knitting.

She is survived by her husband, Lloyd; loving mother to Debra (Sal) and Daniel; grandmother to Rodney; great grandmother to Tuesday and Levon Reimer; sisters, Mary Ellen, Nancy (Al), Diane, Betty (Tom), Linda, Marion, Carolyn (Pat); brothers, Laurie (Millie), Bruce (Sue), Calvin (Val), Dan (Marilyn); special aunt and friend, Hazel Mason; several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by granddaughter, Melissa; brothers, Aubrey, Monty and Bob.

A funeral service will be held 3pm Saturday, May 7, 2022 in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie. ** Please be advised;  the family requests that all attendees wear face masks, for our mutual safety.  Burial to follow in Christ Church Cemetery, Lantz.
