Obituary of John Alexander Pictou

PICTOU, John Alexander-age 55 of Indian Brook, passed away January 4, 2022 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Halifax, he was a son of Patricia (Brooks) Pictou and the late Leonard Pictou.

John was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He was a very generous man who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He will be missed by many family members and friends.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Mary Anne Martin and son, Dennis James Pictou; grandson, Maddox, the light of his life; sisters, Anne (Debbie), Sue (Rick), Grace, Mary Rose; brother, Murray (Marion); estranged wife, Vicki; many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father; brother, Claude and 4 infant siblings.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie.
