Kenneth Hardy Obituary

HARDY, Kenneth James - 82, Belnan, passed away November 27, 2013 in the QEII Hospital, Halifax, Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Gordon and Dorothy (Glenn) Hardy. He spent 24 years in Guelph, Ontario where he worked and raised his family and in retirement moved back to Nova Scotia. Ken loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, puttering in his garage and took pride in maintaining a beautiful property. Ken is survived by his partner of 20 years Lois Creelman; son Gordon (Janet) Scotsburn; daughters Evelyn (Norm Anderson) Hardy, Lynn (Bob) Dunseith, Kim (Mark) Shody, Dawn (Dario) Sibbilin, Claire Hardy, Sandra (Rick) Maggiolo, all of Guelph, Ontario; sisters Dorothy (Ken) Warner, PEI; Joan (John) Wolfe, Dartmouth; Marion (Bob) Hamilton, Halifax; Ethel Lawrence, Dartmouth; Betty (Stan) Johns, Dartmouth; Colleen (Ozzie) Burke, Lower Sackville; Karen (Don) Davison, Dartmouth; 15 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; extended family Irene (Phillip) Isenor and Carl (Marina) Creelman and their families. He was predeceased by his wife Lorna (Dalrymple) Hardy and brother Bernard. Arrangements entrusted to Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie where visitation will be 6-9pm, Saturday, November 30, with funeral service 2pm, Sunday, December 1, Lori Crocker LM officiating.
