I will always cherish my wonderful memories of Claire, our gab sessions and the fun we had together. Clair loved to go for drives in my little red sport car - we had many laughs. I will miss her. I am so sorry to hear of Claire's passing. When I was a little boy, Claire and Dawson lived next door to us . My Mother Jean was not very well and from what I am told Claire always had her eye on us making sure everything was OK. To the family I send my sincere condolences. Claire was an anchor to the people and the village of Maitland. Family, please remember that, although Claire is gone from this life, she will always be with you watching over you. God Bless.

My Mom called to tell me the news last evening and I was so sad to hear of Claire's passing. She was such a wonderful lady and I have always adored her and Dawsie! I saw both of them in Florida a few years back when they came to visit Mom and I could not believe how amazing they both looked, like time had stood still since the last time I saw them. It is the circle of life but not one I was ready to hear about quite yet! Thoughts and prayers to Gary, Ross, Mickey and families.

I am at a loss for words, she was a exceptional women who every student that was lucky enough to have her as a teacher will forever be greatfull for the time she took to make sure learning was fun and exciting.
She was my teacher and later taught my boys at the same little school in Maitland.
Even if she had not seen you for years she remembered every students name, she would always say hi and ask me how my boys were doing.
To her family my condolences.

What a wonderful lady. Was one of the best teachers my son ever had. She was devoted and really cared for her students. She loves them all like her own. Truly one of the best!!!!! I worked at Margolians years back long before I knew her . She was buying a dress for work she was telling me she bought clothes that made the childresn happen. If they liked what she was wearing they listened much better and were willing to work. Kathy

Our deepest condolences to Claire's family. I had the pleasure of Claire's company several times over the past few years. Dawson sometimes joined the visits. I admired Claire's style and often complimented her. During one visit I shared how much I loved her purse! Her next visit, she gifted me that purse...I still have it . I know her family will have comfort knowing she is now with Dawson. RIP Claire.

To the Entire Beattie Family:
Our deepest condolences to each of you at this sad time.
I have known Claire since a was a young child. I loved having her as one of my elementary teachers, and later as my principal during my early teaching career. A funny story from when I had her as a teacher is about the day I came to school with the news that my mom was going to have a new baby. Her response was a surprised " Another one?" (This baby was #8 for my parents.) Later in my career I had the privilege to teach her great grandson Colton, who is now a super dad to my new great nephew Dawson.
I found it quite difficult to start calling her Claire, as she will always be Mrs Beattie to me. She was a great neighbour and always an elegant lady.
She will be missed, but fondly remembered by so many.
Glenda (and Randy)

Gary, Ross and families
Sorry to read about Claire's passing. I was online looking at houses and saw on viewpoint that the house was sold last fall. I said to Elizabeth I wonder where Claire moved to. She was a wonderful cook and I ate there a few times when Dawsie and I worked on the church. Claire and Dawsie were great supporters of the Maitland United Church and the both of them always worked hard at all the church suppers. They also prepared many apple pies over the years. There will always be the great memories to share.
Sincerely
Graham and Elizabeth
