Please share a memory of Henry to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Miller, Henry Wilbert - Stewiacke, NS, son of the late Wilbert and Stella (Rogers) Miller, died peacefully at home on September 7, 2021, surrounded by his family after a valiant battle with lung cancer and heart disease. Born in Montrose, NS in March 1935, he is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joyce (Ruggles); and children, Barbara of Halifax; Michael (Joan), of Stewiacke; Stephen (Sharon), of Dartmouth; grandchildren; Natasha, Stephen Douglas, Shane, Samantha, Mitchell, Alec; great-grandchildren, Bree, Stanfield, Wilder and Audrey; sisters, Phyllis, Tillie and Myrtle; and brother-in-law, Tim Millen; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by sister, Grace Millen.

From a young age Henry worked hard and enjoyed being outside. Thoughts of Henry usually included woodpiles, power saws, trucks and dogs. As a heavy equipment operator he worked in road construction and snow removal.   Henry was strong willed, had an amazing work ethic, a kind heart and a great sense of fun.  He valued time with family and friends playing cards and entertaining us all with his wonderful story-telling skills.

Cremation has taken place and there will be a private family graveside service.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2-4pm, Saturday, October 23rd in the Stewiacke Fire Hall.  Proof of vaccination and one piece of identification is required for those wishing to attend.  Masks must be worn.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Bachar Chalati and Janice from the Stewiacke Medical Centre, the Stewiacke Pharmacy, and the VON Palliative Care Team especially Dawn, Tasha and Jenny.
