Obituary of Anton Herbert Friz

FRIZ, Anton Herbert “Tony”- age 76 of Wittenburg passed away peacefully on August 18, 2021 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Dewangen, Germany, he was a son of the late Emil and Marie Friz.

Tony immigrated to Canada in 1967 and worked in construction and masonry for many years. After many years living out west, he moved to Halifax in 1981. Tony worked for Easy Scale Scaffolding in Ragged Lake until he retired. In 2007, Tony and his common law partner, Margaret, moved to Wittenburg. Tony had a love of life, playing cards and his homemade blueberry wine. He loved and was loved by his family, and extended family very much and his best bud, Matthew, with whom he shared many special adventures.

Tony is survived by his common-law wife, Margaret Dodsworth; son, Bernhard; sister, Inge (Rolf) Buehrer; sister in-law, Trudy; many nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. No service by request.
