GALLIENNE (Holden), Sharron Elizabeth- July 3,1944-May 21, 2021

                                                                                                         A beautiful and genuine soul.

Born in Hamilton, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary Holden, who ran Holden’s Florists in Dundas, Ontario.

Loving and proud mother of Patrick Penney (Leanne), Jaye Penney (Susan), Dawn Marie Penney (Parker), David Penney (Christine), and Brian Penney. Stepmom to Christie (Glen), and Corrie (Brian) Gallienne.

Sharron cherished her grand children Jennifer (Marcel) Cole, Christine (Brett), Catherine, Holden, Thomas, Macy and Tanner, Dylan, Tyler, Tate, Andrew and Lauren, and great grandchildren Sophie, Lily, Henry, and Beau. She is also survived by sister, Barbara Parsons; sister-in-law, Joan Holden; four nephews; and many extended family members in Ontario.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Bill Holden, daughter-in-law, Cindy Penney (Montero) and stillborn son, Mark.

Through her lifetime, she had the chance to travel and enjoy her many close and supportive friends. She was brave, funny, and strong, and needed nothing more than a simple morning walk to make her happy. You could always count on a sincere and warm hug from Sharron at any chance she had. She spent her years taking care of others, both at work and at home. Sharron spent most of her life in Ontario, but later moved to Nova Scotia to be close to family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Our Heartfelt gratitude goes out to the staff at The Magnolia Continuing Care home in Enfield NS, who cared for her like family, and Ettinger Funeral home in Shubenacadie NS, for being such a wonderful help.
