Obituary of Rachel Nieforth

NIEFORTH, Rachel Elizabeth- age 83 of Lantz passed away on May 21, 2021 in Elk Court, Brookfield. Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Alice (Goodwin) and George Burgess.

Rachel worked at several nursing homes including Fairview Villa over the years. She loved dogs and animals in general, but her Dobermans held a special place in her heart.

Rachel is survived by her husband, Freeman; sons, Marsden and Shawn (Susan); daughter, Janice Preeper; grandson, Hunter Preeper; brother, James Burgess; and sister, June Wilkinson.

She was predeceased by son in law, Bruce Preeper.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
