LANE, Anthony Delbert “Tony” -age 62 of Milford, passed away at home on February 19th, 2021.  Born in Halifax, he was a son of Shirlee Anne Booth (Sheriff) and the late Samuel Bailey Lane.

Tony worked as a long-haul trucker before joining the Bayview Trucks and Equipment Team as Sales and Leasing Consultant, Nova Scotia.  Tony enjoyed working with his Bayview Family and talking to his many customers over the years.  If you wanted a Kenworth truck, Tony was your man.  Tony was a kind, loving soul who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.  His passion in life was the wood lot as he said numerous times the wood lot was his place of peace and reflection.  He loved taking his Kubota and heading to the woods for the day.  He enjoyed spending time with his friends, especially his lifelong childhood friend, Robert Smith.

Tony is survived by his wife, Sheila Spares, Milford; mother, Shirlee Booth, Stewiacke; sisters, Shelley Lane, Truro, Kimberlee Lane (Sean), Truro; Melanie Lane (Barry), Lower Sackville; son, Troy (Jennifer) Lane, Digby; stepsons, Michael (Rachel) Munro, Moncton; Adam Munro (Stephanie), Toronto; Brad Munro, Milford; grandchildren, Lakota, Cheyanne, Grant, Thomas, Mira, Gavin, MacKenzie, Madelynn; many nieces and nephews.

Besides his father, Tony was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Dorothy Spares.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie.  There will be no visitation or service by request.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Dr. Nathan Lamond, Dr. Don Rowe and Dawn Ross, RN, for their kindness and compassion.
