Obituary of Allen Spares

SPARES, Allen Edgar - age 81, Milford Station, passed away peacefully at Elk Court, Brookfield, on November 10, 2013.

Born in Milford Station, he was the oldest of two boys and three girls of the late George and Edith Spares. He spent his working life around animals, especially horses in the Harrietsfield area. Allen loved telling jokes and would bend the ear of anyone he could get to listen.

He is survived by sisters Verna Moore, Alberta; Jean Carroll, Milford Station; (with whom he resided for the past nineteen and a half years), Freda Connors (Howard), Waterville, NB; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother George.

Remains are resting at Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie from where visitation will take place 7-9pm Wednesday, with funeral service 2pm, Thursday, Rev. Lori Crocker officiating.
