Obituary of Martin Carl Parker

Please share a memory of Martin to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

PARKER, Martin Carl – age 59 of Mill Village, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2020 in the QEII Infirmary, Halifax. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Carl and Gladys (MacLeod) Parker.

The self-proclaimed mayor of Parker Road worked hard all of his life and played a whole lot harder. A man that lived only for today, he was always up for a good time and a few laughs. Happy to be hanging out in the village having a few with friends or just driving around drinking coffee, it didn’t take much to make him happy. As strong as an ox and as stubborn as a pig, he has gone too soon and left a huge hole in our hearts. Those bright blue eyes, that laugh and those hugs will be forever missed.

Martin is survived by his sister, Diane (Robert Black); beloved niece, Crystal (Rauly Brant).

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie.

A celebration of life will be held from 6-8 pm on Friday, November 20th at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 111, Shubenacadie.

Donations in Martin’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
