Obituary of Weldon Aubrey Turner

TURNER, Weldon Aubrey, age 77, of Truro, passed away in the VG Site, Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre, Halifax on Friday June 19, 2020.

 

We the family, are sad to announce the death of our father, grandfather and uncle, Weldon Turner Sr. Weldon was a light to all that knew him. His sense of humor and love of his family shone through and he will be missed by many. Weldon loved to fish and hunt and walked everywhere. His “office” at Truro Mall Food Court will be different without him. Simon will miss his dad beyond measure.

 

Weldon is survived by his spouse of 31 years, Shirley Dixon, his daughters, Shelly (Gordie), Marlene (Greg), Sherry (Jeff) and Evelyn (Wayne); his son, Kevin (Christine), several grandchildren, brother Robert Turner, several nieces and nephews.

 

He was predeceased by parents Clifford and Lydia (Welch) Turner, son Weldie, daughter Lesa, two sisters and two brothers.

 

As per Weldon’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  

 

Memorial donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 106, Debert.
