Obituary of Donnie Singer

SINGER, Donald Edward, “Donnie” age 64, of Enfield, formerly of Shubenacadie, passed away on Sunday June 7, 2020 in the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax.  

Born in Middle Musquodoboit, he was a son of the late Wilfred and Pearl (Conrad) Singer.  

Don was a dedicated union member for the UA local 56 plumber pipe fitters. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and loved being outside in his gardens. Don enjoyed trips to Cuba with Marion to visit his Cuban family and friends. Don will be greatly missed by his family, friends, grandsons and local union members. 

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Marion (Hines), daughter Teri Singer (Nick Wilson), sons Cory (Katie Grant) and Randy, grandsons Jack, Grey and Kane, all of Enfield; siblings, Katherine (Rick) Joedick, of Dartmouth, Irvine (Shelley) Singer, of Shubenacadie and Jean Singer of Coquitlam, BC; many sisters in-law, brothers in-law, nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ettinger Funeral Home.  A celebration of Donnie’s life will be held at a later date. 

Special thanks to Don’s niece Nicole for the love and support and to the ICU staff at both Colchester East Hants Health Centre and the VG Site for the care and compassion shown to Donnie and his family.
