Gina Goulet was the only murder victim I was personally acquainted with. She did denture work for me on two occasions. The last time was at the office in her home located on a ridge with a wonderful pastoral view all around. Excellent work - entirely satisfied.
Gina lived in a wonderful pastoral setting. I expect that now she is in an even more beautiful setting , completely safe and enveloped by love.

TO THE FAMILY
Words cannot express what I am feeling in my heart for you. Quite frankly, I want to put my arms around you and hold you until your feelings of emptiness and pain are gone. Since that is not possible right now, I hold you in prayer and ask the Lord God to wrap His loving arms around you, to protect and comfort you, to bring healing and give you strength and courage for each new day. Let us praise God for Gina’s life and all that she meant to each one of you. May God Bless the memory of her walk among us.

Amelia, I’m so sorry for your loss. Even though we only knew you and your Mom through horses, you both left us with a huge impact of how generous, kind, and unforgettably amazing you both were. I remember when my kids were younger and you lived near us in Enfield and your mom phoned us to ask if we would like to see a newborn foal at your house! We of course came right over and your Mom was so kind to do that because she knew my girls (Teigen and Talia) loved horses like you and your Mom did. I remember her inviting us to your house in vinegar hill to ride her horses because my children had not owned their horses yet. We will never forget the powerful light and happiness that she projected upon all she came into contact with. I so hope Amelia that you know how loved you still are by her. She will ALWAYS be in your heart and watching over you.

On our 2019 trip to Cuba we, Pam & Billy McNamara, Kevin Gates and I, Adrienne Speck met Gina in the Halifax airport . Thus began the best trip we have had. Gina was such a ray of sunshine in all of our activities, at the Beatles Club, in the Pink Cadillac, salsa dancing at Calle 62 to mention a few. Back in N.S. we all kept in touch and especially enjoyed the Mother’s Day buffet with her and her daughter Amelia. We were looking forward to spending time with her after the virus subsides but our hearts are broken knowing this will not happen.
We, all four of us send our condolences to Amelia and the rest of her family. We will dearly miss her.

She became more than fishing "buddy" very quickly as she crept into our hearts as a friend. Gina always had a personality that could win anyone over. We miss her dearly and she will always be in our hearts. Our sincere condolences to her daughter and family. Remembered always from Cory and Vanessa

I had the pleasure of meeting Gina and becoming her friend when the Goulet family moved to Eastern Passage. Although we did not remain close friends after completing school, I always considered Gina a friend. We seemed to always cross paths over the years, especially when she became a customer when I worked in the dental industry. Connecting with Gina over the years was always a pleasure - catching up on old friends, life events (yes, she was a proud Mama) and maybe a little friendly gossip too. With Gina you could just say what you had to say and she would as well - a straight arrow. And that smile! That laugh!
I am so heartbroken for the Goulet family and her close friends. Please know that I share in your loss.
Deepest sympathy,

Her love of life and strength to fight the odds was a wonderful part of her soul. Once we learned that we were both cancer survivors, we often chatted about life's blessings and family and friends was the most important thing. I am so glad that she enjoyed her life by travelling, enjoying her horse and the close bond with her daughter Amelia. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her. Gina was such a beautiful person whose smile lit up the room. We met many years ago and became instant friends; she was just that kind of person; you met her, you gravitated towards her, and she wove her way into your heart. She was such a strong woman with an independent spirit, a zest for life, and a mission to help others. The one thing I remember the most though is how fiercely she loved Amelia. She was such a proud mama bear. Amelia was her pride and joy. If Amelia had a game, she was there. Whether it was a bike race, a tug-of-war event, or even the smallest of competitions, Gina was on the sidelines cheering the loudest. My heart is broken for Amelia as I can't imagine how one gets over such a senseless event. And for Gina, may she rest in peace. She fought so hard for her life and to have it taken away so tragically is hard to reconcile. You will be missed my friend.

To Gina's family,
My sincere condolences for your loss of the beautiful and charismatic Gina.
Gina was a friend of mine back in the day. We had so many great times together with our group of friends.
We would go as a group to PEI together for May long weekend (May Run) where we would dance, have beach bonfires, go horseback riding, and enjoy each other's company. Gina loved the horseback riding so much more than I did.
We had many get togethers at Gina's parents house in Eastern Passage. Her whole family was so welcoming. Again, we all danced, laughed, stayed up all hours, and enjoyed our time together. We had lots of laughs with her younger brother, Rick, and friends of his as well. They put up with our shenanigans too.
Gina had a contagious laugh, a strong spirit, and lived life to the fullest. I was lucky to have known her.

My respect for her grew even more once I learned of her battle with that disease and how she didn't let it define her, nor indulged in any self-pity. We shared several salsa dance classes and met up here and there. Even with this amount of contact, it was apparent that Amelia was the apple of her eye. She was forthright, open, and upfront with everyone, qualities that I appreciated. Her gutsy approach to life was a joy to behold. I will miss dancing with her greatly and hope her kind soul and the family can find peace after this heartbreaking tragedy.

AMELIA:
I AM DEEPLY SORRY FOR ALL THAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH AND I HAVE BEEN HOLDING YOU IN MY THOUGHTS SINCE I HEARD THE NEWS.
I NEVER KNEW YOUR MOM GINA BUT FROM WHAT I HAVE READ AND HEARD FROM HER FRIENDS THROUGH OUT THE COMMUNITEES SHE WAS AN AMAZING WOMAN WHO LOVED A GOOD LAUGH WITH HER FRIENDS.
THE APPLE DOES NOT FALL FAR FROM THE TREE FOR SURE. I HAVE ENJOYED MY TIMES IN THE DRESSING ROOM FOR HOCKEY WHERE YOU HAVE ALWAYS SEEMED TO ENJOY A GOOD LAUGH WITH ALL OF YOUR TEAM MATES AND ALWAYS MADE ME FEEL LIKE PART OF THE TEAM AND WELCOMED ME WITH OPEN ARMS WHENEVER I FILLED IN FOR YOUR TEAM IN NETS.
I HOPE THAT OVER TIME ALL THE WONDERFUL MEMORIES THAT YOU HAVE OF YOUR MOM WILL BRING YOU TO A PLACE OF PEACE AND COMFORT KNOWING THAT SHE IS AT PEACE AND IS BESIDE YOU MAKING SURE THAT YOU ARE SAFE.
TAKE CARE MY FRIEND
HUGS, PEACE AND LOVE ❤️

Gina, I will always cherish the time spent with you. Your zest for life was awe inspiring. Last year in May 2019 we took a trip to Cuba together. While I had been to Cuba several times i’ve never been to Veradaro. You took so much pleasure in showing me around and introducing me to your friend (Tiger) who you were crazy about. You would go up to complete strangers and just start talking and that’s how we made our new friends ( sisters from NB, Wanda and Jewel) We had a blast!
To Amelia, Though we have never met, Your Mom spoke of you often and with so much love and pride! My heart felt condolences to you and your family. Please give Ellie and Ginger a squeeze for me. I had the pleasure this past summer of playing fetch with Ginger in your Moms yard. Though Ginger made me do most of the fetching! (fond memories I will always treasure).

Please accept our deepest condolences Amelia, although we have never met you, we can only imagine how lucky you are to have Gina as your loving mother!
Wes and I (Joanne) from British Columbia, had the lovely opportunity to have spent a week (by chance) in Cuba with your mom!
We remember her as loving life to its fullest, smiling, laughing, and just having fun!
She was taken from you too soon in life, but she will always be In you heart.

For Gina
Flames across the water,
and tears falling like rain,
this close, quiet province,
will never more be the same.
We will remember,
we will plant flowers and trees,
for your hearts and memories,
we will forever more hold the essence of you,
as it drifts upon the breeze.
We will become the wings
for your dreams,
and we will weave those precious seams
with the threads of our own,
from deep within our hearts,
etched now in eternal stone,
we will remember,
we will not leave you to walk alone.

(As I was writing this, the sun was setting
and the tops of the trees to the east were glowing like embers
and the sky to the west was bright orange like one big flame…)
Let the candle glow,
in a light wind’s blow,
as darkness falls upon the land,
let the candle glow
in the palm of Jesus’ hand.
I titled this ‘For Gina’ because I actually met her just this past year, a free spirit for sure, but I wrote this for all of us.
If it brings comfort, please share.

Gina....you had a smile that would light up every room you walked into. I was so blessed to have you as a part of my life and will never forget you. When you said "yes" to being in my wedding party, you were more nervous than I was when the day arrived. Such a beautiful soul. Forever in my heart ❤ My thoughts and prayers and condolences go out to your daughter Amelia who was the light of your life and her husband.

Amelia and family,
I am at a loss for words. Gina will always be forever in my heart and memories. I have been trying to think of how I met her but I am guessing I was like many of her friends...she just started talking, that is what made her special, she just started talking no matter if she knew you or not.
Amelia, because of work, I have known you longer than I knew your mum. I definitely remember my first memories of you...they were during the play. I remember thinking "that kid has a wonderful upbringing", because you were such a special young person, friendly and kind in a way most that age haven't figured out yet. Low and behold, I meet your mother and I was right... she was a woman for women. Strong, kind, independent, generous, funny and fun loving. You two were (and are) very blessed to have one another. She was your biggest fan, but you know that.
May you all find comfort knowing that Gina made this world a better place for an awful lot of people.
Love and blessings to you all,
Michelle Anthony and Tom Denault
