Obituary of Clara Frances Turple

TURPLE, Clara Frances – of Elmsdale. Clara passed away peacefully with her son Ray at her side in Vimy Court, Bible Hill on April 15, 2020.  She was born on June 29, 1929 in New Harbour to the late Warren and Oda (Gates) Cleveland. 

Clara worked at Cara Food Operations at the Halifax Stanfield International Airport for over 25 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and trips to Blandford.

She is survived by sons, Gordie (Ann) Bishop, Sydney; Ray( Valerie) Bishop, New Minas; Phillip (Phyllis) Turple, Enfield; daughter, Rose (Brian) Durant, Nine Mile River; brothers, Wilfred (Marie), Quispamsis, NB; Granville (Sharon), New Harbour; sister Pauline Viddal, Blandford; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews. 

She was predeceased by her husband Earl, first husband, Ernie Bishop, plus three sisters and five brothers. 

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. There will be no visitation.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.
