MacPHEE, Janet Pearl "Jennie" - 100, Windsor, formerly of Upper Nine Mile River passed away on January 30, 2013 in Dykeland Lodge, Windsor. Born in Upper Nine Mile River, she was a daughter of the late Rodrick and Annie (Kellough) MacKenzie. She fostered children for 20 years of her life in her home. Jennie was a lifelong member of the East Gore United Church, a choir member and a UCW member. She was a member of W.I.N.S. and they honored her with an award for her service in the community. Jennie was one of the founding members of the Nine Mile River Fire Department. She is survived by her daughter Lois (Ivan) Isenor, Thunder Bay, ON, sons Junior (Shirley) MacPhee and Lealon (Sharon) MacPhee, both of Upper Nine Mile River; grandchildren, Dale (Sharon), Joanne (Dave), Tracy (Bernie), Phillip (Michelle), Pam (Ken), Karen (Mark), Lorianne and Jeffery, 17 great grandchildren, brother in-law Mel MacPhee, Shubenacadie, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond, infant grandson Jordan, sisters Mary Peck, Hazel Woodworth and Maggie Custance. Visitation will be 6-9pm Sunday, February 3 in Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie, from where funeral services will be held 2pm Monday February 4, Chuck Paterson DLM officiating. A reception will be held in the funeral home following the service. Spring interment will be held in the East Gore Cemetery.
